hello from beautiful lã¼neburg! in my last video, i showed you the city, but in doing so, our coverage of the night life here was too short. today, we are going to change that. rumor has it that lã¼neburg has the highest concentration of pubs in germany. the basis of this is certainly the stint, which you see behind me.
here, bars and pubs strung together. twice per year, the "spass am stint" party takes place here. salon hansen is one of the clubs in lã¼neburg, which was founded by students. there are always different parties taking place here: concerts, slams, readings. you can also organize an event yourself.
in 2014, salon hansen won the "applause," which is an award for and i quote: an outstanding cultural program with, on average, more than one live music event per week. that sure is something, right? now i am at the archive, which is used by zuko. next to me is esta,
who has helped shape the organization. esta, what is zuko? zuko is a cultural organization in lã¼neburg. the organization is mostly made up of students, but anybody that wants to participate can. we organize cultural events in order to connect the university with the city, so that they aren't just two completely separate environments.
very cool. and exactly what kind of events do you offer? we mostly do temporary installations. that means we go into unused buildings and unused rooms, and we make use of the space for a little while. this could be anything that people want. anything that has some kind of cultural reference. that could be a techno party,
that can be a reading, theater, concerts, workshops. hausbar. i was actually never here myself, i'm ashamed to say. but i have heard so many good things, that i thought i have to show it to you. and that is why i will check out what's out the menu
and order my first drink. i've also heard that you can watch soccer here, like they are doing right now, and on the weekend, you can watch "tatort," and this is supposed to be the best place to play table soccer. what else could you want? as you can see, lã¼neburg has a lot to offer. and what i have shown you this evening,
is just a small part of it. there are also more clubs and bars. and there are also a few festivals here, most of which are organized by students. or there are also different places on campus where films, game nights, and concerts are held. and of course the house parties! in a student city, you can't miss those. i think that's enough for now.
