so let's get into it. if you did not see the video yesterday, we were comparing four lights. 3 ada lights and 1 twinstar light. and viktor was comparing their light intensity in lumens. obviously lumen - for those of you who do not know that - is measuring the visible light. it is also a subjective thing to the eye - the visible light. and he was also comparing the color temperature, the color-image of those lights. so what do you think about those and what did we miss yesterday that we really want to talk about today? the video was really short to explain everything in detail. the main reason to create the video is just to show the color rendition.
we are hearing more-and-more nowadays about the rgb types of leds. and normal led-s, and how they compare to each other, what you see within your aquarium. if you are using these. the video was mainly about the color rendition. - and less about the... less about...- the stroboscope lights... :d flashing lights.- i am going to check it out., so don't worry, just keep on going if this does not bother you... so this was mainly about the color and today we want to talk about the lighting strength or the light intensity itself. because that is also very important when you are growing plants. i think the main issue is that the industry is just changing and the t5-t8 tubes are just going out of the market.
- and hqi will be shortly out.- it takes too much power. and it is also going to be banned by law soon. the clients and people will be interested in the light. they are coming back and are always asking about the led. how much they need, how much power they are looking for, what spectrum it needs to be. to grow plants correctly. and of course at the end - when you go to a shop - you see a very wide range in pricing. price difference comes because... there are of course really kindof - i would say - cheap solutions for your aquarium. and there are much more advanced solutions to have a really powerful light within the core spectrum. and all the qa behind production.
so all of that comes with a price-tag. yeah, but on the same page you are buying the lights for a long time. so led lights will last for a long time.
